The completed project.
For all of the love and gratitude that Jim expresses for his mother,
I dedicate this photo of her handiwork to
Martha Swartwout 1927-1995

Baby Grand Miniature by James Swartwout

James' wife, Jackie, wanted a gazebo.
James created her one in miniature by combining some miniature materials
with his own handy work, complete with lighting amid a winter snow scene.

"A picture is worth a thousand words.".... Off hand, I don't recall who first spoke that familiar quote. But with James' photos, I don't believe "words" are necessary to appreciate the fine quality and details he has executed in these artistic pieces.
Although we are not previleged to see it at this time - if ever, I'm told - there is also a miniature model train complete with the tracks and the "whole scene". The reason we may never see this is because he says that it takes months to assemble it all.
I am purposely not divulging "how" James worked to accomplish these pieces. They are definitely a "Labor of Love" and without a price tag. I am, however, encouraging James to consider compiling a "How-To E-Book" showcasing his art and how he did it, the materials he used, the tools he used, and how he came by some of the ideas.
What do you say? Shall we give him our "Vote of Confidence"? Would you be willing to buy a book showcasing his art along with the stories of the pieces and the details of how to create similar works? Perhaps you or someone you know would like to tackle similar projects. Give us feedback.
Personally, I was awe-struck with the creativeness and fine artistic workmanship. As I've mentioned previously, share with me your accomplishments, I will share them with our readers and the world. James truly deserves this special recognition. As you can well image, many, many intense hours were spent on these projects.
Congratulations, James.
